Neural compass could provide information about Parkinson's and Alzheimer's

For the first time, researchers have identified an internal neural compass that the human brain uses to orient in space and navigate in the environment. The results have implications for understanding diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, where navigation and orientation are often impaired.
