Biobank sequences 10,000 genomes as part of a precision medicine project

Researchers at the Estonian Biobank, which currently contains samples from more than 200,000 people, will sequence 10,000 genomes using PacBio's long-read hi-fi sequencing technology. At the beginning of last year, the University of Tartu received a grant of 30 million euros, partly from the European Commission and partly from the Estonian government, to set up a competence center for personalized medicine in Estonia.
