Slowing down Alzheimer's: How dopamine dissolves harmful brain deposits

A new study from Japan shows that dopamine can help alleviate symptoms of Alzheimer's disease by increasing the production of neprilysin, an enzyme that dissolves harmful plaques in the brain. This discovery, which has been shown to be effective in mouse models, offers the potential for a new treatment approach when replicated in human studies.
