Interval hypoxia hyperoxia training (IHHT) is a unique method for improving physical performance and overall health. It is based on the principle of cyclical repetition of hypoxia (lack of oxygen) and hyperoxia (excess oxygen) phases, which stimulate both physical and neurological adaptations in the body.

What is interval hypoxia hyperoxia training (IHHT)?

In contrast to traditional training methods, which expose the body to continuous stress, interval hypoxia hyperoxia training focuses on alternating periods of stress and recovery. This allows the body to adapt to more extreme environmental conditions by improving its ability to absorb and utilize oxygen.

For example, typical interval hypoxia hyperoxia training session could involve alternating oxygen deficiency phases (hypoxia), in which the oxygen concentration is reduced to a level below the norm, and oxygen excess phases (hyperoxia), in which the oxygen concentration is raised above normal levels. This cycle is repeated several times to achieve maximum effects.

Cellgym promises a healthier and more vital life

A global pioneer in the field of cellular hypoxia training is the German company Cellgym, which recently carried out a profound brand relaunch. With a wide range of IHHT equipment, the company is underlining its claim to a leading position in this specific training area. However, the new splendor goes far beyond a mere visual redesign. This renewal process reflects a repositioning of the brand, which has reinterpreted and strengthened the core promise on the healthcare market. Cellgym is not just a name, but a promise for a healthier and more vital life.

With this step, Cellgym marks a new chapter in the history of preventive medicine and the longevity industry and has formulated this in a clear mission: “We want everyone to be able to fully utilize every phase of their life.” The realignment reinforces Cellgym's commitment to helping people proactively maintain their physical and mental health into old age.

The new slogan “Breathe more Life” embodies this promise. It encourages people to reach their full health potential and highlights the value of preventive medicine and regular exercise in everyday life.

The redesigned appearance of Cellgym is particularly noteworthy. The new look is characterized by a modern, clear and organic aesthetic, which positions the brand as a future-oriented and trustworthy partner in the world of preventive medicine, functional medicine and the longevity industry. With the new image, Cellgym confirms its role as a reliable and strong partner for doctors, therapists, naturopaths, hotels and private users.

In his speech on the brand change, Quintus Dienst, CMO of Cellgym, emphasized the importance of the brand for individual health care: “Cellgym is more than just a method — it is a well-thought-out system of five essential pillars: high-quality hypoxia devices, functioning practice concepts, safety through intelligent software and innovative laboratory tests, continuous training and first-class customer support. Cellgym is hypoxia cell training in a nutshell and helps people breathe in more life.”

And finally: “The new Cellgym is more than just a new look. It is a renewal of our promise to create a world in which aging is no longer an issue. It is our ongoing commitment to provide science-based hypoxia cell training that improves individual health profiles and prevents disease. But above all, it is our commitment to help our customers reach their maximum health potential and live long, fulfilling and healthy lives.”

Who is behind Cellgym?

Behind the Cellgym brand are many people who have contributed to the company's history for more than 15 years. In recent years, it has primarily been three passionate entrepreneurs who have made the company a globally active hypoxia specialist.

One of these co-founders is Rainer Goytia, an enthusiastic fitness pioneer who took over his first gym in 1994 and built up five studios in the Stuttgart area over the years. His passion for sport and healthy eating and his quest to help everyone achieve health and stability formed the basis of Cellgym. Experienced online marketer and software developer Nils Tausend has been with the company since 2015 and contributes to digital presence and market growth with his expertise. As responsible for the “cellair control software”, he always implements the latest innovations in the area of IHHT. Quintus Dienst, managing director and marketing manager since 2020, established the Cellgym partner program and, with the recent rebrand, positioned the company as a specialist in cellular hypoxia training in preventive medicine and the Longevity industry.

What prompted you to develop a hypoxia device?

Around ten years ago, a group of six pioneers came together to research and publicize the positive effects of Intermittent Hypoxia Therapy (IHT) on human health. Their common wish was to cure the causes of chronic illnesses through holistic medical treatment.

The members of the group got to know each other back in 2008 during a study in which the effects of IHT on the human cell were investigated in 20 participants. Although hypoxia was primarily used in sports to improve performance, it was still largely unknown in medical practice.

The research group was surprised that Q10 production in cells could be increased by more than 40% within three weeks without the need for additional substitutes. This breakthrough motivated the group to found the “Cellgym” brand and establish it as a universal term for cell training.

What are Cellgym's goals/visions?

Our mission is to help all people stay healthy, age well and thus fully enjoy every phase of their lives. Our vision is a world in which aging is no longer a disease.
